Thanks to everyone who joined us at April’s Archicad Users Australia events in Melbourne and Sydney. We had another strong turnout across both cities, with a great mix of returning members and new attendees.
April’s discussions focused on Managing Attributes, Door & Window Schedules and Python workflows within Archicad. A particular highlight was hearing from Kevin Lee of TZG, who shared a practical overview of how Python can be integrated into Archicad workflows to support BIM QA, model validation and data extraction. The examples sparked a lot of discussion around automation, scripting and where AI-assisted workflows may start to influence practice. Subsequently, as a direct result of this presentation, we have heard of multiple people starting to dabble in it!
A recording of Kevin’s presentation is available on the
Archicad Users Australia Teams channel. The Teams site also includes links to tools that support Attribute Management, along with a YouTube presentation from
Scott Moore of Fulton Trotter demonstrating how quickly unmanaged Attributes can undermine model consistency and lead to unreliable outputs.
