Dear Customers,
At Graphisoft, we are committed to protecting your data and ensuring your Graphisoft ID account is safe. We continuously work on improving security to meet the latest standards. With our most recent update, we are addressing two important use cases: forced password changes for inactive accounts and introducing CAPTCHA to verify that sign-in attempts are made by real users, not automated bots.
Depending on how frequently you sign in with your Graphisoft ID, these changes may affect you differently.
Your Graphisoft ID account holds important information, such as sensitive data about you (your name, email address, etc.) and access to all your license keys. To prevent unauthorized access to these records, we are gradually introducing forced password changes for all inactive accounts.
An inactive account is a Graphisoft ID account that has not been used to sign in to any Archicad installation, the BIMx mobile app, BIMcloud SaaS, or any of our service websites, such as the official Graphisoft website, Graphisoft Community, Graphisoft Learn, Graphisoft ID page, or Graphisoft webstore.
In the first iteration, all accounts that have been inactive since 2023 are affected. In a later phase, we will review accounts that have been inactive for more than a year. To ensure our database stays up to date and your data remains safe, we plan to monitor inactive accounts frequently and continuously.
If your Graphisoft ID is affected, you can reset your password by using the 'Forgot password?' button on the sign-in page.
We want to ensure that you can access all our websites with full trust and no accessibility issues. CAPTCHA is an industry-standard technology that prevents malicious activity on websites, such as mass spamming or bot raiding.
In the upcoming months, we will gradually introduce CAPTCHA to all our websites' registration and sign-in processes. CAPTCHA will be mandatory for every new Graphisoft ID registration. For sign-ins, the technology will be triggered by multiple unsuccessful login attempts or suspicious patterns.
If you want more control over your Graphisoft ID account, you can also turn on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You can find more information about MFA here: https://support.graphisoft.com/hc/en-us/articles/30578874208017-About-Multi-Factor-Authentication-MF...
Kind regards,
Graphisoft IT and Customer Support team
