What you’ll learn:
- Swap products without remodeling: one GDL object per product category and geometry type means manufacturers share the same 2D and 3D representation and differ only in parameters.
- Design first, choose products later: start with a generic specification and your own geometry, then link the manufacturer’s product once it is selected.
- Accurate data, no retyping: manufacturer specifications are written to the element as Archicad properties, in your language and for your project’s country.
- Quick product variants: configure a variant in 3D and transfer the computed dimensions straight to your project.
- Smooth collaboration: bimproject.cloud properties export as IFC property sets, so product data travels with the model.
