Archicad CHE in english

I really need to use archicad CHE since i'm working in switzerland and need all the presets and 2d visualisation methods that come standard in it, but I cannot understand german so I would love to use the CHE version in english. I tried installing the english version of archicad but all the presets and stuff is different, so I was wondering if there is a workaround for this or a way to get a version of archicad CHE in english. I think there might be some way to import all the presets and stuff from the CHE version to the english one but at the same time i guess they would remain in german so it would make no difference. If someone can help me on this one I would really appreciate since I really need to use that and i would prefer not to have to translate everything each time i want to do something.

Thanks

You can not change the language that the Archicad program is made for.

All you can do is download and run another language version if you license will allow that.

So, you seem to have the English language version running (I assume INT version).

You can download and use the CHE library objects, but they will still be in that language (you say German?).

They will not translate.

There is nothing you can do about that at the moment, but when 28 is released (in a month or so?) the new Global Libraries will be truly international and will work in any language.

The technology Preview for 28 is available now if you want to sign up for that.

Thank you very much. So a solution could be to import the CHE library into the INT, but would this mean also the properties and stuff are in german? I mean like in the CHE colors, hatches, materials are those that i need to use for my office whilst the INT version does not have them or they are different. Maybe doing what i wrote up here could solve that by at least permitting me to tweak the properties in english but having the elements like in the CHE. And how would I do that?

The language of the program will never translate, you have to install the language version you want to work with.

You can use the template (attributes) from another language, but they will not translate either.

The same with the libraries, they are made for specific languages, and they will not translate either.

That is, until you start using 28 with the new Global Libraries.

These libraries will translate to the language that your template was built for.
