Instalation of 14 without dvd reader.

Im trying to install rel 14 32 bit on a old computer with windows xp. This computer does not have a DVD reader but it is connected to a server.
The office network has a computer with a DVD reader. I copied the contents of the instalation cd on the server and tried to install rel 14 from the server.
At 13% of the instalation the instalation program asks to insert disk 1
archicad 14 win 32. I browse to server and direct the computer to that directory on the server but the computer refuses to continue instaling rel 14.
I did the same process with rel 12 with success but now I'm stuck.
Please help......

On the Mac I would make a disk image with Disk Utility. I assume there is a similar utility for Windows (though probably not free like the Mac stuff).

On Windows, you can try Gizmo Drive. It's freeware. It will let you create an ISO image from a CD or DVD and then mount it to a virtual drive letter.

I have copied the contents of the installation DVD to a portable hard drive and I install from that whenever I need to.

Otherwise I wouldn't install by running the installation program from the server over the network.
Copy it all over to your local C-drive and then run the installation from there.
