Plotting on HP 350c from g4

Help,
Impoverished college student needs a no cost solution to plotting problem. I have a HP 350c connected to a mac 8500 using Mirospot's MacPlot. I have the student version of ArchiCAD 8 on a G4. I want to use the 8500 as a print server. I've been successful in accessing the hardrives on the 8500 from the G4 but can't get the plotter to show up in the print center. I've checked "show printers connected to other computers" but the 350c doesn't show up in the print center list of printers.
Any help would be appreciated

Use PlotFlow on the 8500 and plot rather than print. It's faster & easier. I doubt that Microspot can share a printer in a way that OSX can see.

Hi,

We have a 7200 OS8.6 Mac set up as a print server using Mac Plot with G4 clients running OS10.2.6 and Mac Plot in Classic (OS9). Plotter is a HP350c with Microspot serial to parallel converter cable to the server Mac.

There should be a software application with Mac Plot which allows you to set up a server and the client Macs.

On the client Macs, the Mac Plot has a network driver showing in the Chooser.

On the server, a local connection method is shown.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Nick
