anyone running a solid state drive? New computer time and I am trying to figure out what should be in the box.

Make sure your run it from a SATA ii, 3.0 Gb/s connector,
SLC is better than MLC technology,
Read reviews, some SSD's run slower in RAID than solo!,
SSDs (some Intel excepted) degrade performance with use.
