Affected version(s): ARCHICAD 19, 20, 21 and 22| Severity: workaround applicable | ID: 237195
Issue
After the installation of macOS 10.13 High Sierra or macOS 10.14 Mojave, a user may experience an unexpected performance drop with Teamwork operations such as Send, Receive, Share or Join.
The cache data ARCHICAD depends on is in an older HFS+ macOS format that would perform better if it were APFS. APFS is the format used in macOS 10.13 High Sierra.
Workaround
Send up all unsent changes to the Server and close all instances of ARCHICAD. Navigate in Finder to:
/<username>/Library/Application Support
Rename the GRAPHISOFT folder under the Application Support folder (e.g.: _GRAPHISOFT). After opening a new instance of ARCHICAD it will create a new GRAPHISOFT folder under the Application Support. Open your Teamwork project and check if everything works fine. Copy the necessary files (IFC translators and DWG, DXF translators) back to the new GRAPHISOFT folder and delete the renamed one.
Please note that the first opening of your projects remains slow due to ARCHICAD needing to again download all data from your Server.
Additionally, it might be worth updating the operating system to the latest build, because several macOS related issues have been fixed since macOS 10.13.
