from usboverdrive site:
"Apple Magic Mouse update: I've been working hard on the device and I now know how it works. I am writing a lot of code to support it properly and I will post a new version as soon as it is ready. Until then, please be aware that without specific support the Magic Mouse is a two buttons mouse with no scroll wheel. The current version of the USB Overdrive handles it as any other mouse so you lose both the scroll wheel and the ability to configure gestures using Apple's own drivers. The good news is that this mouse can do a lot more than basic gestures, and I'll do my best to make it even more magic."

i found this experimental driver that adds real middle click with three fingers. Now we can make zoom and pan with archicad and our magic mouses.

Have you seen this???

It adds middle click, fourth click, pinch to zoom and sleep functions to the magic mouse!

Have you used it? If you assign either two fingers click or three fingers click as middle click, does it pan while clicking your two or three fingers and moving the mouse at the same time?

Wow! i'm going to get that now (only $2.50)

Why didn't apple do this in the first place? i think this new mouse is great, but having to do the space bar to pan in ArchiCAD with it has been doing my head in!

Does Graphisoft have any opinion on third party or their own software to allow the apple magic mouse to regain the functionality of the previous mighty mouse. Panning is the biggest issue which is quite big. I often pan about 10 times a minute so not having this ability built into the mouse is a major major problem. Loss of the functionality of the side buttons on the mighty mouse is also a less urgent issue. I am using ArchiCAd 12. Please help all of us that have upgraded to the new I Macs.

Does Samuco (http://www.samuco.net/web/) magic mouse software solve the panning issue and if so does it effect how the mouse is used in other programs? I have asked SteerMouse if they will include the panning ability for ArchiCAD in their new software for the magic mouse. No answer yet.

You can choose "single finger middle click" as "middleclick" in first tab - gestures, and everything works great exactly like typical mouse.
Moreover if you assign next and previous zoom in archicad as two finger swipe left and right, and a few more shortcuts for another gestures MM will be propably best mouse for archicad ever!
