nVidia Quadro FX 1700 troubles

We have a lot of troubles concerning 2D drawing in Archicad 12.

problems seem related to nvidia quadro-series cards. although we also have a similar problem on a computer with Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT

problem: whilst drawing, suddenly menus and such from the user interface disappear.

I've found one workaround: To go into Work Environment, Advanced Redraw Options, and then turn off 2D Drawing Hardware Acceleration Level (drag it to "off").

I use a 570 here(the little brother of the 1700) and have had no problems with it at all. Make sure you are using the GS-certified driver, which you can grab from here:
http://www.nvidia.com/page/partner_certified_drivers.html
It should be 162.25, which is a bit old, but very stable.
