Changing the color of a garage door?

Why does ArchiCAD make this so difficult? I just want to change my garage door color. I have to model tab enabled but this doesn't work very well because if I have glazing in the garage door it overrides the surface of the entire door including the glazing. Is there an easier way other than creating my own leaf from scratch?

For help with a specific object, you need to include in your post what version of Archicad you are using (27? 28?) and what localized library you are using (USA?  INT? UK?)... and the exact name of the object you're having a problem with.

With the AC 28 USA library, I'm not able to see what you're showing for the garage doors, which include leaf, frame, track and glass materials... and of course if you check the "uniform surfaces" checkmark, then everything including glass would all be the same material.

Post the info requested above and someone will be able to help.
