Corner Window

Anonymous
Not applicable
How can I show a corner window without frame at the joint corner. I just need a silicone joint at the corner.

I made a window but the "Corner Window Tool" did not recognize it, why?

I reckon it has nothing to do with the view in 3D mode when saving it to a library object. otherwise if we set it to a view with any angle it would not know where is top.

According to a how-to file(I would get the link as soon as I get back home), when drawing a window using slab tool, it has to be drawing facing down.

Have you done this by set it as top view?

I misunderstood, I thought you were trying to save the glass as an object to put into the empty corner window opening. I don't think you can create a custom corner window with this method, only single plane windows.

but if I try to make it to become a gdl (save as .gsm), the glass has to be drawn facing down. now, I have to add another piece on the edge to form the L shape. when they turned to a gdl, the two pieces do not merge.
What should I do?
To get rid of the extra lines using the above quoted method, you will need to edit the status codes of the cprism_ shape that ArchiCAD writes when you save the slabs as gdl. I don't know of a visual (without editing gdl) method for achieving what you want, except as has been suggested above (draw a slab in the empty corner window opening, or saving the slab as an object to place within the opening). Both of those methods result in maintaining two separate entities (the opening and the glass).

Thank you so much for the detailed explaination David.

Now I use slab tool to creat the corner class without save it as an object. I may have to keep doing this until I could edit gdl script or speak German
