However, this behavior gets really bad when you use the labels in elevation. Here labels will still rotate themselves if they are labeling windows that are in 90 degree walls

My current workaround is rotating the labels by some ridiculous value like 270.1 degrees.
Any better solutions?
Thanks.

Try a different label. They may function differently depending on how they are written.

Door and window markers despite the settings show relative to the wall it is placed in.
This is a confirmed bug since AC8.1r2c.
I was told that it will not be fixed until 9

Thank you both for the information.
I guess I am going to have to look into creating my own label object to solve this one... With my GDL skills, Maybe I should just wait 'til 9.0.
Thanks again.

The plot thickens.
I have just opened an older project that I have not worked on since the recent 8.1 v2 upgrade. All of my window dimension markers (not labels is this case) have now rotated themselves to align with the wall. This is a total disaster.
The only solution I can readily see, as I produce the final pricing set, is to replace all of the markers with label objects rotated to 270.1 degrees, but what a hassle.
GS please consider fixing this sooner than later.
