Wanted to start a list of AC11 Little improvements......which are not announced:

First Selection outline now is shown in dots
Second Selection outline is shown in Dot Dash Dot

Nice, yet still short cut C for changing of the method is still not implemented, must be very hard to code it in!

Yes Link is correct it does search both the local computer and the network for libraries with the same name.

Ah. Right. I checked on XP before, missing that this was a Mac question.

Now I see this Search button on the Mac when a missing library is selected (only appears when selected) in AC 10 and earlier.

Yes, I suspect it was omitted because of Spotlight. (I found the Search to be really slow compared to Spotlight.) It would have been nice to have some kind of link with Spotlight though. AFAIK, you have to type the missing name in Spotlight...and then re-trace the found path in the Library Manager browse dialog. So, in the end, the speed of Spotlight is lost with all of this manual work...making the old solution better?

Let us know what you find out Link. Maybe a Spotlight link is planned?

Cheers,
Karl

No I think not: it was there before spotlight, on OS 9 and before. I'm not sure, but I think it was there since I used ArchiCad the first time (4), and if not so, little later

Yes, I meant that the Search feature may have ben removed with the introduction of Spotlight into Mac OSX, but I'm not a mac guy* so I don't really know.

*Well actually I just bought a 17" MacBook Pro with MacOSX and Windows Vista, so I guess I am a mac guy again. Been about 5 years since I worked on mac!

Link.

Let us know how the Vista thing works out for you. I'm still running XP. Not going to Vista until I'm really sure it's OK.

I have bought a dell laptop for home use with Vista (Business Edition) on it... It fucking sucks as it gets... a big monster mimicking OSX so ridiculously that it sucks beyond all beliefs. I am really regreting I haven't ordered XP instead or bought a Mac... I have promised my self this is going to be my VERY LAST computer with windows - enough is enough.

uhh... Vista thing, not so good, yet. Getting closer though.
Still having driver issues w/ nvidia and no support for my hp plotter (and hp says never will be).

AC11 is working pretty well in vista. Have had some crashes though during rendering. And I can't plot...

AC11 is working really well in XP. Easy transition. Not a dramatic upgrade though. Trace is nice but it definately impacts performance in some situations even on a monster machine.

No trouble so far but I haven't had a chance to really put it to the test.

The next big step is to installed Parallels for easy switching. Jumping into the deep end here, so if anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it.

I just noticed that AC11 objects will snap to any of the objects nodes and not only the 'base point' when dragging a copy. It's called Element Snap and I love it!
