Hey Miki, have you been looking at Revit lately?
Both Categories and Filter for View are Revit features, that's why I ask.

I would suggest that you start new threads for these wishes. Also create polls so people can vote for them. Also, make sure one wish is about a specific topic so people know what they wish for. If a wish topic contains several wishes, people may not wish for them as people reading it at Graphisoft will not know which of the several wishes people actually supported.
As you "wish".

PS: Yes I deal with Revit a lot. I wish those two (AC and Revit) would have a hybrid child. It would be awesome!
Modeling, layout, Teamwork etc. from Archicad and categories, parameters, construction components and families from Revit.

One can dream - right?

Hi
My 2 bits worth. I use Archicad (and Revit) on PC at work and Archicad on Mac at home. Have very few problems often working in same file apart from shift/control/alt key which is a usual Mac PC thing but a minute into work my brain rewires. A bigger gripe is that Revit uses the shift-control opposite to almost all other software.
You prefer Revit Families? Really? The speed which Archicad navigates all loaded libraries is great. Loading new families off our server in Sydney is a pain. Our BIM strategy with Revit is new projects are lean and mean with just enough families to get you going so you need to load families as you go. Building custom families in Revit MAY be easier but try and make them truly parametric with variable parameters such as 2, 3, 4 doors etc. than see how you go
I agree the best of both would be really something.

I realise I need to update my profile - haven't posted in a while.
BTW I run Revit on my Macs with no problem although the MacBook is starting to struggle at 4 years old. Have now donated that to my son who is studying building design. The Perth home design sector is almost 100% Archicad

The feature I mention is MAC only??? Did not know that. I guess ArchiCAD PC still far behind ArchiCAD MAC!!! Can someone update the thread topic????

Just goes to show that the reason PC and MAC versions are slightly different is because PCs and MACs are slightly different, not because Graphisoft secretly loves one over the other.
An useful scrollbar is still missing on AC18 for Mac. Operating systems have nothing to do with this.
