Beam Hole Desactivated

Hello the community, 

I have another problem. 

I need to design a beam with one or multiple hole(s), but the option is Desactivated. 

Even in the pet palette . 

Do someone have a solution please ?

i just need to switch to the plan view and create it.

or.... snap the opening tool on whatever plane of the beam you would like in the 3D window, section or elevation...
