other programs like autodesk work in units. For an architect their unit may = 1" for a surveyor 12" so you should ask them what scale/unit the other program was set to for that drawing/file

My mistake, I thought you were in the translator box.
Where did the quote come from ?
I am not sure what you are trying to do, could you be more specific?

P.S. What country is "Victor Archid"?

They are asking you how accurate ( to what decimal point) you want your list/schedule to be.

It looks to me that the "calculate Units" dialogue box they are referring to is the one under
Options
Preferences
Calculation Units
What they are saying is that if you want the accuracy of your listed calculations to be different from the accuracy that you set in the "calculation units" box for normal working preferences in ArchiCAD, then here in the "Edit Database" box is the place to change them for listing purposes only.

Note that later in the Help data base it warns you that a graphic schedule will not follow these changed units but will use your
Preferences
Calculation Units
settings.

Hope this helps
Is it spring in Belarus yet?

Victor,

It seems to have done exactly as you asked: 1,000 liters is 1 cubic meter ... and so you show 169 liters or 0.169 cubic meters which is correct. It's just that AC put "m3" after the 169 instead of "l", which is wrong IMHO ... taking the "m3" fron the database component entry.

I just played around a little, and I can't see that the conversion unit flyout in the Edit Unit screen accomplishes anything. Perhaps someone else can explain it to us without us having to spend a few hours exploring...

OK
I'll bite.
How/where did you generate a schedule that looked like that?
Hoping to learn

You're asking Victor, not me, right? 😉 I just linked to Victor's GIF image... which looks like something from Excel.

Yes, Exel.

I think, authors of ArchoCAD have mixed multiplication and division Signs when corrected "Quantity" at change of Conversion Units.
