FREE plug-in: Toggle lineweights and more with one key!

A number of people have asked for a way to quickly toggle line weights between true weight and hairline, to toggle roof pivot lines or section depths on or off, and more.

I'm releasing a FREE add-on for 9.0 that let's you assign a shortcut key to some of the most commonly adjusted display options. With the add-on loaded, for example, I map the "H" key (H=hairline) so that pressing it once switches to hairline display, and pressing again switches back to true weight. It seems trivial, but it really speeds work.

works perfectly , only tried line weights but it saves
soooo much time

Thank you karl !!!!!!
You can download the Windows version of this QuickDisplay add-on for ArchiCAD 9.0 from:
http://www.archispectives.com/tools

A Mac version will hopefully be available by mid-December.

Enjoy.

Karl

PS I'm posting this to "Working in ArchiCAD" rather than "Ads" since this is a free thing to speed up working in ArchiCAD. Consider it more of a tip/trick. 😉

Very kind of you, Fabrizio! Of course, you of all people know how trivial this one was compared to the very complex plug-ins from Cigraph Factory! 😉 Hmm. 3 hours work compared to the months that all of you put into each of your plug-ins?

Thanks! 😉

very glad to see a mac version on the way karl!

however, being my usual 'never-satisfied' self, does it toggle through all three line weight states? i.e. hairline, true weight and bold cut line? i was recently beginning to see some real advantages using the later to actually model with . . .

By popular demand (OK, a few people privately), there is now an option to toggle fill handles.

If you've already installed the QuickDisplay plug-in, do note that when you install this update, you may have to re-assign any shortcut keys to any of the QuickDisplay commands.

v1.1 is available now at:

PS to Ben: no toggle to "Bold Cut Line" ... the Graphisoft API does not provide that functionality yet. Usually, new features lag in the API.

i had a hunch that might be the case - you're too on-the-ball to leave any gaps like that by mistake!

cheers

Q: where do we post nominations for the 'free add-on of the month' award?

... surely Karl deserves a GS beach umbrella for this

PS. Thanks Karl !
