Interior Elevation referencing <zonenumber> will not work!

I'm confused. I am using the "IE Marker 1" and when I created the views and set up the <ZoneNumber> for its ID it correctly referenced to room number as I intended.

But then when I close out of archicad and open it up it is back to as it appears in the attached screenshots.

To fix it I have to move the zone title or delete and reinsert the <ZoneNumber> option under ID as seen in the second screenshot!

Please Help! I can't understand why it won't correctly reference.

Is the zone layer off?

It has to be on for the library parts to report the zone/room no.

thank you for responding. Yes the zone layer is on. it is actually showing too, as the room tags are the zone names and showing in the attached screenshots before.

Very confusing, because if I select the limit lines and move them it will update to the zone number as it should. But then if I close out of archicad and come back it is once again not reading correctly. see attachment.

is there some sort of autoupdate for interior elevation markers that I have checked off or something?

It could be a problem with the marker itself. I use my own custom markers and haven't had this problem (yet).

How does it look on the layout?

Unfortunately this is not the case. I switched to Interior Elevation Marker 1 15 and have the exact same problem.

I tried saving it as a solo project. same problem. not that i think tw botched it up, but it's getting to where I don't know what else to try to fix this.

I am wondering if I should try a v14 marker to see if its some problem that is related to v15 markerS? think that's worth a shot?

any other ideas would really be helpful. you guys know this program a lot better than i do.

v14 copy didn't work either I'm starting to think i'll have to do it manually after wasting an entire afternoon trying to fix this.

silver lining at least i'll have another notch on my belt in the way of legitimate things to complain about with archicad

Do you have two or more zones overlapping each other (maybe even in layers that are turned off)?
Maybe the marker can't register what zone it belongs to because of the other zones until you edit that zone that is currently on screen.
