For those of you who already use AC11 in a productive environment, where is the question...

One other note to any of you grid tool users. I tested an early release of the grid tool and it was un-useable. The one in 10 was difficult and buggy, but I could struggle by. Currently the grid tool goody appears to be in development and is not available for download. This may come into play for those considering converting projects from 10 to 11. Hopefully we will see a new and improved add-on when this is ready.
Do you know if the "early version" grid tool for AC11 was at least able to properly bring in grid elements from AC10 file? If this is so, I would be able to continue my AC10 project because I'm not adding any more grids.
I am in the same boat and need some sort of help.
Thanks,
Joseph

The add-on that was available is not recognized by the 970 AC11 release. So in answer to your question, no. I have replaced all of my grids with dummy markers in the one project I brought in to 11. Your grids will show up as a "dot" indicating a missing object. At least you have a snap point indicating where the grid line should be.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately for my current project, there are just too many "dots" (3 buildings, w/ plans, elevations, and sections) for me to do them manually. I will have to continue using AC10, which is not too bad. However, I do feel that GS should fix the grid & the subset library problems ASAP. Please allow me to use AC11 !!!

The grid objects seem to come in just fine without the add-on loaded. At least mine do. I write custom ones for myself and my clients, so I haven't tried the GS ones but I assume it would be the same for them.

Without the addon, which is where I am now, I only get big dots in place of the grids. The library loading reports missing "Standard grid marker".

I even tried to save the grid element as gsm file w/ that name from 'Save selection as' command in AC10 and load it into AC11, but that didn't work either.

Anyway, I'm hopeful that it will be Coming soon! - at least for the PC version...
