I need to put a base on a shape that hasn't got a uniform level. In Sketchup you can " Interact with model " which means you place a square base beneath your object then you can cut away the excess based on the perimeter of the object.
The image shows the contour ( grey ) and the mesh ( black ), is there a accurate and easy way around for making the base follow the contour ?
Thank You

You must be making a mistake somewhere. Make sure the gravity is on and set for meshes - then add the level dimension marker anywhere over the mesh. that will link the marker to the mesh - and it will update as the mesh changes

Is there any other way that I can do it ?
Thank You
