No projected shadows in elevation (or sections)

Hiya

For some reason I can not get any projected shadows in elevation or section.
Strange thing is, if I copypaste the elevation "line" into another file, it works fine, and if I copypaste an elevation line form another project where it works, in stops working.

Methinks this has something to do with the file, but I was hoping there would be some general mysterious setting I forgot to activate.

problem solved.
Either it was the visualization options or the file was behaving randomly bad. now it works.
