PDF Associated to PLN Location

I have created a template file in AC11. The specs and code study are in word format which is then saved as a pdf. These pdfs are in the same folder as the tpl file. The code study and specs are then inserted into the tpl file as drawings for easy update through the word and pdf files. The problem I am having is when I copy the folder the tpl, word, and pdfs are in (to use as a different project) the drawings are still associated to the pdfs in the template folder and not the new project folder. I want it so that the drawings of the pdfs will be associated to the pdfs in the same folder as the pln file without having to change the path of the drawing. Any solutions?

Thanks

You'll have to relink from the newly created project file (pln), unless you could find a way to make the link relative instead of absolute. I'm not sure how to do that.

An alternative way to do this (as described elsewhere in this forum) could be to put everything including the pdf on an independent worksheet in your tpl and embed the pdf. That would give only one file to copy, and no links to update.

There is a relative path settings in the Drawing Selection Settings dialog box. Its a button next to the Source File display. It doesn't seem to change when you switch between absolute and relative path. Must not function like its supposed to... bummer
