Railing rail/toprail join settings?

Hi,
Making our first 21 railing venture and I have a real world example I want to recreate.

I want to have a continous top railing (ok...mitered in the corner) but the rails should stop at the end posts...

Any idea?

Select the railing and go into EDIT mode.
Now select the rail and TAB (multiple elements) on the end node to select the rail end.
You should now be able to go into the settings and adjust the extension (it can be negative).

Whoa. Thanks a lot Barry! That was a nasty trick. No visual feedback from ArchiCAD but now the railing end offset works fine. The bottom corner bracket is impossible I guess but happy nontheless. I'm trying to create an internal tutorial package for stairs and railings and need to speed learn myself
