Slanted beam problem

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

I am trying to slant a beam while maintaining its co-plainer relationship to the slanted/leaning columns.

every time I try to slant the beam, It will go out off plane.
I have attached some image to help explain what I am trying to achieve.

Sergio I agree with everything you said about Add-on. in my case I truly believe that rotating an object in 3D along with other functionality the "Objective" add-on provides are bear necessities too any 3D modeling/editing workflow. I can't imagine why they are not supported by AC.

I am not against Add-on either, Like many of you out there, I use them also. However, I don't see why I need an add-on to perform such a fundamental 3D operation.

Serge, you are absolutely right, and Ralph thanks for the reference.

Rotating any item freely in 3D is a long-standing wish. For now, it will only work in Archicad out-of-the-box with GDL objects programmed to allow it, or if you tweak the script of such an object.

I have to remind myself often that the constraints in Archicad as-is is what makes the program fast. I used Triforma. I know. But it would be nice to have it anyway, as an option - you should be able to optionally un-lock the constraints for chosen items, I think. Objective is a way around this limitation..
