How far back can a user undo actions?

Unfortunately PS's History isn't an individual action undo, but it undoes ALL the way back to the history item. You'd think in 2008, software would enable you to undo a single item no matter where it is in the history list.
And what do you expect when you remove the creation of an element, somewhere in the stack and on another place in the stack you create a copy of the (removed) element?
Or if you make a selection, copy it etc... when things in the past change.

While it might seem appealing, you better start thinking about movies such as "Back to the future", where changes in the past have deep impact on the current...
