creating a custom stair

Hello.
I would like to create the following custom stair, but it doesn't work. The fill I drew has a polyline contour and a polyline is the line of travel also.
it says: Cannot create stair with current parameters.
What could I do?
Thank you.

I redrew the fill and I believe it is ok. Now the issue apparently lies with the line of travel, because the message reads: Cannot generate stair with this line of travel.

Try using lines and arcs only for the line of travel.
Don't use polylines or splines.

Thank you for the answer. I tried to draw the line of travel out of mutiple simple lines and also out of simple lines and arcs combined and still no result.
They should be connected somehow, the arcs and lines, but I don't know how. Also, how should the SUSPEND GROUPS option be active or not?

I don't know that you will ever get this one to work.
I don't use this often but you will need a straight line for each step around your curve.
If the gap between the steps get to small then Archicad will not allow you to create it.
At least that is what I think is happening.

An arc will generate winding stairs but as your stair is not a true circle I don't know if you will be able to find a centre point for you arc(s) that will work.

This is as close as I can get without spending too much time on it.
But it still has a step missing on the left at the start of the curve.

Thank you for answering.
One last question: how did you draw the line of curve? Is it a group of one arch and 2 lines?

No nothing is grouped but I don't think that matters.
So long as it is not a polyline.
Must be separate lines and curves.

Maybe start with a simple shape as I have shown and then stretch it into the shape you want.
Then you can see what breaks the stair creation and you may be able to work around it.

Worst case scenario make it in parts and then join them together.
Or create each step from a single slab positioned where you want it.
And then cut the shape of the stair with Solid Element Operations.

You could even convert it into a Morph and union all the steps together into one Morph.

All I could obtain is this. I believe I will build it step by step instead, as you suggested.

Hello,

You must draw the circle from the right to the left...
