multi-cladding in one single wall

Hi All,
I have a question,
Is there any way to make multi-cladding in one single wall?? Ie, brick veneer wall with plaster above window head.

I’ve tried with 2 walls on different levels, 0-2200mm (make wall to brick veneer), 2200 – 3000mm (make wall to plaster), but then the window I’ve inserted on the brick veneer walls has covered by the plaster wall above it, which make it hard to see window openings on floor plan.

Is there any other easier way to do multi-cladding in one single wall??

try to use custome profile in wall setting or by archiwall

I am still curious:
1. where is Archiwall in wall setting??
2. Does custome profile in wall setting do have multi cladding function in it?? I can't find it in there. I thought they are just the tool making all sort of shape in sections??

You can also try wall accessories. (wont wrap into window reveals though). There is one that does wall panelling and mouldings

Hi Aussie John,
I've tried it before, but because I am working on a Housing development with a little urban design involved, the files is so huge that slow down 3D converting as well as the rendering times. So i've decided just to use the wall tool to reduce the complexity.
But thanks for that.

Do you or any one have other way to do this in a big project without using wall builder??

This is what Complex Profiles are for. They give reasonable control over window/door openings. Go to Design>Complex Profiles>Profile Manager...

Not what I am after. Also, complex profiles can't handle sine-wave cladding, since fills can't do splines, and only fills will define CP's.

I am after a variety of sidings, bevel, shiplap, T&G, board and batten, metal claddings. I have tried a bunch of purchased solutions years ago (Parch siding - from OO), but have heard CI's accessory objects are good for this. Has anyone tried them? I actually really like the roof surfacer, if only I could apply the same elements to walls!

Again, I don't care so much for linework, I am after 3D model elements as wall accessories - this is for a multi-unit development where I want to be able to switch different building skins on the fly. CP's will work for most of the conditions, but are a little less elegant than accessories...Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you know if Graphisoft ever updated the wa_trim_us_10.gsm macro??? This is the macro that was causing windows to display as a dot when placed in a profiled wall. Matthew Lohden graciously provided a fix for this but you need to unpack the LCF file to add it. I tried it and it works.

I work with so many different clients I hate to have to walk them through how to do it so they can see their windows when I send them their files. I guess I'm hoping that Graphisoft has fixed this in the latest build but am not sure.
