A reminder email for the community webinar

Hi GC members,

While I'm feeling sad cause missing the last community webinar regarding (structural engineering in Archicad) which I was waiting for since announcement as we're busy by special celebrations in Arab countries which are not considered by companies' agenda.

So, if it's possible to receive a reminder email before webinar starts it'd be so vital especially in these occasions, especially when we're punished by eliminating Q&A session from the released web video, thanks.

Dear @Mahmoud Qenawi ,

Sorry to hear you missed our latest workflow webinar. The recording is already available here.

We have a technical issue with automatic event reminders, which has been reported to our platform provider. For upcoming sessions, we will issue a private message to event attendees 60min prior to start. We also recommend you to download the ICS file (click on "Add to Calendar" in the event page) and add the event to your private calendar application.

We look forward to welcoming you in our future webinar.

That’s it, you provided the best corrective actions which meet our expectations.

An automatic event reminder, a private message and adding to calendar are really valuable solutions.

Rubia,

you’re the best 👏🫡 , thank you so much.

Dear @Rubia Torres,

Is there any good news about the webinar’s reminder email or the automatic event reminder?

I hope we’ll have this feature available in the next community update or as soon as possible.

BTW, where’s the private message for event attendees 60 mins prior to start?🫤

Hi @Mahmoud Qenawi,

Our service provider, Khoros, asked to run a test with the latest event. Apologies for not having this thread updated on this matter. Per their request, we didn't disable automatic reminders and sent private messages. On the other hand, your feedbck here is highly appreciated - have you confirmed attendance, enabled email notifications (user settings) and, yet, did not receive an email reminder? Please check the spam folder as well. We had reports from users that the reminder was sent accordingly.

Looking foward to your feedback.

PS: We don't want to overwhelm the Community members with both an automatic reminder and a private notification. If Khoros hasn't been successful with fixing the email event reminder, we will proceed to disable it and rely on private notifications. Thank you for your patience while we seek for the best solution!

It’s ok @Rubia Torres, no apologies.

I think it’s me who has to apologize, first for replying late, sorry Friday is off here means more 😴.

Secondly cause yes I did a fool action last week & unsubscribed from receiving community Emails, they’re too much to bear & didn’t have time to go sorting or filtering them through community settings, hence, this check mark has appeared, right?

Here’s my feedback, I hope it’s really welcomed? Thank you so much Rubia for your fast response & for that clarification 🫡.

So @Rubia Torres,

If I can suggest, adding to the system the ability to remind me with my unsubscribing, hence, no any Emails will be received from the community.

( Dear Mahmoud, we’ve sadly noticed your unsubscribing from receiving our community Emails, however, if that was done unintentionally you can simply click subscribe now not to miss our events’ notifications while you can deep dive later sorting your special needs via your account’s settings section).

So I can easily click subscribe till I go deeper into my settings for advanced filtering.

Hi Mahmoud,

When you select that checkbox it turns off all emails from the Community, so it doesn't matter if you subscribe to an event separately, because you won't receive those emails as well.

If you want to reduce your notifications, you can set all of them for a daily digest and later review your subscriptions and settings in details.

Kind regards,
Noémi
