I have found a scenario where autosaves fail and recovery is impossible in a teamworks project.
When an elevation or section has too many overlapping geometries it can take longer than is reasonable to wait to generate. For example it spent over 20 mins on 'Projecting', and so i decided to abort. For some reason it tries again and again and again to regenerate (which seems silly, obviously the first abort should be the ONLY abort). Often i have to click abort around 5-6 times for it to actually stop. This needs to be fixed. 1 and done when aborting sec/elev regens.
But the main problem is whilst this is going on, the autosaves dont seem to behave normally. Perhaps they are still trying to save in the background on a timer and failing - im not sure - but after an 'end task' to the archicad process in task manager and a restart of archicad (because the abort process mentioned above stopped working altogether and i had no other choice), the last autosave available was a couple hours ago and so there was a great deal of lost work. And i have mine to backup every click. How can we still be loosing data like this???
It has happened multiple times that when section/elevations get too busy (normally to do with landscaping) they fail and we lose hours of work.
