Related versions: v19 and newer

When an Archicad user attempts to share a project or open an existing Teamwork project, the operation fails with the error message as above.

Archicad or BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic is not up-to-date

Make sure that all Archicad clients and BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic components are updated to the latest build.

Archicad lock file needs to be cleaned up

When opening a file in Solo, Archicad creates an ".lck" file to prevent other users / applications modifying the very same project as you currently do. Check if any ".lck" file exists with the same name as the affected project. If you find any, close all running Archicad instances and delete the file with .lck extension exists next to the project - which could not be shared.

Incorrect permission settings applied for the Graphisoft folder and its subfolders

Make sure that the affected user has full access to the following folder and its subfolders:

WindowsmacOS

C:Users<username>Graphisoft

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/

If the path of the Local Data folder has been reconfigured, make sure that the affected user has full access to that folder as well. Default locations:

WindowsmacOS

C:Users<username>GraphisoftTW Data

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/TW Data/

User Cache is corrupted

It is possible that current downloaded data become corrupted, so they will be out of sync with the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic. Attempt to leave all joined Teamwork projects from the affected computer.

Local Cache is corrupted

When more than one user is working from the same machine, leaving all joined Teamwork projects may be not enough. Delete the Local Data with the Local Data Manager.

Please Note

Local Data deletion will require the user to rejoin the projects and all unsent changes will be lost. Try to leave all joined projects before attempting to delete their Local Data.

TWDataOptions.xml is corrupted

TWDataOptions.xml contains the Local Data folder path. Close all running Archicad instances and delete the TWDataOptions.xml file. Locations:

WindowsmacOS

C:Users<username>GraphisoftTW DataTWDataOptions.xml

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/TW Data/TWDataOptions.xml

Please Note

Deleting the TWDataOptions.xml file will restore the default path settings of the Local Data folder.

Archicad needs to be reinstalled

Uninstall Archicad. If there are more versions installed on the computer, make sure to uninstall all of them. Delete the user's own Graphisoft folder:

WindowsmacOS

C:Users<username>Graphisoft

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Graphisoft/

If you still experience the above issue, please contact your GRAPHISOFT support representative. For the investigation Archicad FastLogger files and BIMcloud log files might be necessary.
