Speed AND Preview. Artlantis helps me keep problem-solving momentum. Waiting one or twelve hours doesn't matter if it is a background rendering. But you move on to other things if it is a slow render.
At the beginning of the process, I had a
theoretical knowledge of how to to the job. But in the four page article, it turns out that the solution is:
⢠a complex profile with three materials swept circular in Archicad - including base bubble and irregular base.
⢠a beer material
⢠two overlapping head foams
⢠a refractive glass material
⢠a photoshopped condensation texture- actually, the real work.
⢠seven lights - thinking like a studio photographer.
⢠a background photo that needed to be dark.
And then⦠how IS the thing supposed to look? So, one challenge is the tools, the other challenge is the art direction.
Truth is, serendipity played a part: i got lucky after Karl taunted me about the last version of this glass.
