Especially during the sketch phase, I want to present options/modeling to clients primarily in black and white so that there's no discussion about color and textures, but rather about shape, size, and position. Everything in black and white is the least distracting.
I'm usually not present when I update projects, so the goal is for the client to see it as I intended. Therefore, I want Bimx to open the model only in black and white, like the model view in Archicad. To my surprise, Bimx opens the model in color, while I export a 3D view in model view (black and white) to Bimx.
I'm aware that you can configure the shadow>hidden line display in Bimx afterward, but this option isn't sufficient because it forces clients to see the colors and textures first. Moreover, clients often find these settings difficult and become irritated by the complex operation.
The workaround with a graphic override is also inadequate because the resulting display in Bimx is poor.
Currently, it seems like there's no other option than to build the model in black and white in Archicad, which is obviously twice the work.
