Stepped site mesh

There’s currently no option to directly create a stepped site mesh. We often use this in the early stages of a project for concept visualizations or 3D printing. Would it be possible to add a “stepped” option under visualizations? Perhaps something like this?

Great idea, Ángel!
Creating stepped terrain is definitely useful for conceptual visualizations or when working with models for 3D printing, and right now, the workarounds are a bit cumbersome. It would be fantastic to have an option in the Mesh settings specifically for “Stepped Mesh” under the visualization tab.

Even better, this could be controlled through MVO (Model View Options). This way, the stepped representation would be a view-dependent choice, allowing us to:

  • Keep the geometry intact while modifying how the mesh is shown in different views.

  • Have one representation for printed drawings with clean, stepped surfaces, and another representation for 3D printing with a more refined and continuous geometry.

This would give us a lot more flexibility without needing to alter the underlying geometry, and would save time when we need different visual representations for different purposes.
