Viewing of 3D objects in 2D views (especially plans)

I've been using both Archicad and another architectural modeling software for quite some time (the other one more than a decade, Archicad just under a decade) and one thing that has always bothered me about Archicad is that the order of 3D modelled elements don't by default show on plan (and other 2D views) as they have been modelled.

As an example, on plan, it is possible for a roof to show below a wall, even though the roof is one level up on top of said wall (and often things like this happen by default). It would be great if there could be a simple view setting switch (much like the "True Line Weight" selection) for any view to view it as "actual 3D / 3D order" (or whatever name it is given). This would save a lot of time not having to re-order items or change elements' view settings just to ensure that things that are in 3D on top of or below something else, actually shows like that on plan.

The same setting (or an additional one) could also be used to then show all 2D elements on a view on top of all 3D modelled elements (e.g. text should never really be below a wall, door or any 3D modelled element).
