We have developed a custom addon for Archicad (V24 at this stage) and have noticed some behaviour we can't solve.
When we update the addon and change the menu structure, then replace the apx file with the new version, Archicad still loads the old menu structure rather than updating to the latest menu structure of the addon.
So far the only solution we have found for this is for the user to unload the addon and load it again, however this isn't a viable long term option as it requires manual user intervention which will definitely be missed by some users.
Is there a way to force the menu to update to the latest version when rolling out updated apx files?

Hi, Could you try to run Regedit.exe, then remove 'Dialog Manager' and 'Dialog Manager Custom Data' folder to see whether it can update the add on?

Hi,
The reason why new menu items don't appear is that when you first load the add-on with a given menu structure, those menu items are added to the Work Environment, and identified by the add-on's MDID.
Beside unloading and loading the add-on, the user can go to the Menu section of the Work Environment dialog, and add the new menu items manually.
