Finding out the family of Pipes in ArchiCAD( Piping System)

I am trying to create a functionality where I need to be able to select the all the pipes ( families of Piping system viz. Domestic Cold water, hot water, Fire protection, Hydronic etc. ) I am not able to find an appropriate method to do this.
