Is it possible somehow to make such an IFC xml translator where multiskins are translated to materials not building element parts? I'm asking this because we develop an FM software, and we would need to know the area and the type of materials related to Spaces. As we searched for it Archicad uses 2nd level space boundaries which is great, but we only know the " NAME" of the composite wall which is touching the space, and we dont know which layer of the composite wall is touching it. As far as I know, the layers of the composite walls are the "materials" in IFC. All in all is there any method where we can tell that what is the area and what is the material of that surface which is touching the Space. ( IN IFC FILE)
