Artlantis for Revit

Received this advertisement from Graphisoft West today -- I found the headline a bit odd...

Well, MR in Revit is not at all bad; it's just that Max is smokin' fast. I've asked a buddy of mine at Autodesk to confirm if the MR engines in Revit and Max are different -- I think they are, but I'm not 100% on that. We tested Revit vs Max and Max' speed is amazing.

Rendering has so many variables... sometimes the same resolution shot in MR takes less time than Accurender, sometime's it's more. The only thing I miss from AR are the procedural trees. RPC growies just aren't the same...

Some Reviteers actually prefer AR to MR -- which I really don't get -- the lighting in AR was just awful in comparison.

Just completed my first render in Revit using Mental Ray. Image quality fine but soooo slooooww and no pre-view, changing materials on the fly, live placing of bill boards etc. If Artlantis were available I would use it

Maybe they've been talking to your PA's and partners (that OTHER thread of yours)...look forward to reading in that thread what happens after their 'retreat'.
Cheers,

The 'retreat' has been postponed twice -- I don't know if it's been rescheduled. I promise to keep everyone informed of new developments.

If there's going to be live entertainment at this retreat (and even if there isn't) you might consider making a poster announcing a live set by those famous vb divas - The Righteous BIM Babes.

That'll get bums in seats!

[i actually did this at a company ski trip to Jasper. I made a professional looking poster [c/w glittering stars, etc.] advertising a limited performing engagement by one our own down in the pub at teh Jasper Park Lodge. i put the poster up in the lobby and had to take it down when the concierge told me he was taking too many requests for reservations.]

I thought you had said in some other post that you had cut back on drinking.

Laura,

I have cut way back. But who needs to drink to have a good time. Everything in moderation.

It just seems as if you're having a particularly good time today.

Laura, Can't you just see Aaron dressed as one of the 'Righteous BIM Babes'?
