When I use the Translator menu/dialogue I sometimes find that even although I've added new items the menu displays the same item again and again rather than what I have typed in. I have to close the menu/dialogue box and open it again but usually it starts doing it again.
My workaround was to edit the DXF-DWG Translator XML file directly with BBedit. Which leads me onto one thing to watch when you edit the file this way is that you need to count how many layers you have added to the list of layers to be renamed.
For example
</LayerMethods>
<LayerConvTab>
<LayerConv items="34">
<Item ACLayer="S-0-MISC" ACADLayer="LAYER1">
</Item>
........ etc
The bold highlighted number above has to be altered to match the total number of layers that are added to the list. Otherwise when the translator file is used by ArchiCAD it will only process in this the first 34 layers if you have more than that then the 35th layer and greater will be ignored.
AC versions 3.41 to 25 (UKI Full 5005).

fuzzytnth3.
Seems odd, I have never come across this problem before. Is just when you add new layers?
Your work around is actually the way that I work
I find it much quicker to copy/past in the XML file than it is to do it in ArchiCAD.
Cheers.

Yes it's as I add new layers but as you say it is easier to just use text editor and copy and paste from the offending AutoCrud dwg
