It is essential that you read the Help and elsewhere about the DWG Translator Settings. The built-in translators are just starting points, and are not appropriate for all uses.

Good to hear. The nice thing is that you can build a collection of different translators to produce different kinds of dwgs, or to target different standards (layer translations, etc) for firms you collaborate with.
