GLOB_INTID doesn't work in version 11?

Just discovered that GLOB_INTID will always return a value of 0 (zero) when used in version 11.

Yes there is a new GLOB_INGUID that returns a 32 character code, but we use the GLOB_INTID in all our existing library parts.
I wouldn't mind but it is still listed in the reference manual - I could maybe understand if GS took it out all together, but if it still in the manual then surely it should still work

We use it as part of a lable for outputting info regarding the objects to a text file (areas, lengths, orientations, etc.).
We can of course then search for that specific text entry and update the data.
But now all objects have an INTID of "0" they are all overwriting each other.
I thought this was a fool-proof way of ensuring a unique ID without having to rely on the user resetting the ID value on every object.

I know I can amend the object script but I shouldn't really need to should I

I will try to confirm this with GS-AUST but can anyone else confirm this.

It is an absolute pain when something that did work no longer does, but there is no reason why it shouldn't still work.

Barry,

it is confirmed. GS has replaced all INTIDs with GUIDs.
The reason being linkage of views etc from other AC files. I would not have a problem with this if I was warned about it soon enough... the problem is GS has changed it but did not tell anyone apparently...

Thanks Rob.
Yes, apparently the GIUDs are unique across all models so there are no duplicates when using modules and merging models.
The INTIDs are only unique within an individual model.

It would have been nice if they could have kept both though.
If you open an old model in AC11 or copy & paste some old model in you should find it has both INTIDs & GUIDs - so I am sure they could have kept it.

Too late now anyway as I have changed all of my scripts.
Just like I had to do for the "zone_relations" request not working properly - but that is another story!

I am just fed up with having to re-write bits of scripts every time there is a new version.
