Hi, can Archicad files be imported into 3D Studio Max?
If so, which file types??

I need to create walk through animations, any advice would be appreciated.

Go to 3d view, then save as .3ds

This will export your model to 3d studio and even export your textures.

You may have to download the add-on. It used to be a goodie. I don't recall if it still is.

The add-on lets you import 3DS into Archicad, not the other way around.

3D Studio Out should come preloaded with ArchiCAD. 3D Studio In should be available as a downloadable goodie.

This is the way to export 3d model to 3ds and after that u can use your 3d model in other software !

hi, i am new here...i am also trying to import a file from archicad in 3ds max , and i did saved it in .3ds but it only "transfer" the point of the camera and nothing else.

do you have any ideas?

There are at least 20 threads on the topic!

I myself have explained the procedure at least 3 times!

Reading the Manual is of great help too!
