If you just want to place the spreadsheet contents on a layout, then you need to save it as PDF and place the PDF instead.

Exactly i need to do some calculation on the cabinet material, i just wonder how to import a excel file into archicad, so that i can input the different material to use in the excel file for calculation & easy refer to the data.
Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.
You can set up schedules to do many claculations automatically. You cannot import information from an excel file to include in archicad.
Are you trying to add information from outside archicad into archicad?
Or are you trying to get some information in archicad out to excel?
Or ___?

Robert wrote:WHY would you import an Excel file into a BIM model? Where would you have that data appear and how? You can freely extract data FROM ArchiCAD and INTO Excel, which is the appropriate flow of data...
Does GS know what year it is? AC13 can not import a .xls? BRILLIANT!
If you want the Excel data on a layout, Excel has the tools to select what to display and how to display it... which is why saving as a PDF from there and placing the PDF is the sensible way to get quality results.

It works the opposite way: you export your cabinet schedule (or whatever) from ArchiCAD to Excel and do the computations there.
