We have received a 228mb IFC file from an Architect and have been asked to use the Improved IFC Import function to use in Revit 2021, however the import takes hours and flashes 100% regenerating constantly during this time. Once the model has loaded, no entities can be seen or selected. I know that model entities exist as if I use the out of the box revit IFC function, the model can be seen.
Does anyone have any ideas what the issue may be and how to resolve?
