MEP modeler connections

I downloaded the new MEP modeler to try it out, but was disappointed that I was unable to build a tri-Wye connector. Please tell me it is my limited knowledge and this is possible.

Or perhaps a lateral connector...

Millard:

Take a look at the Pipe Fittings Tool, there are 4 fitting types available that should get you pretty close.

It is strange, though, that there is not a duct part with the same options. I'm not sure if you connect a pipe fitting to a duct if the "system" will be intact for subsequent modification. I doubt it.

Note that under ducts, there is a Duct Fittings tool / category, Millard, and there is a two output fork there called Duct Trousers 14. Strangely, though, under the Connections tab, 'Rectangle' is the only allowed geometry. So, this doesn't help you (besides being only 2 outputs rather then the 3 you are looking for).

Maybe the Pipe Fittings object that David found could be opened and saved with a subtype for ducts...? (Did not look.)

PS [Edit] Well, tried saving a copy as a Duct connector type. But, the system parameters are still showing plumbing systems, not air systems. Cannot find (in 5 minutes anyway) where this is set... maybe in a macro. Some other code would have to be modified too - default system materials, etc. The code in general is unfortunately obscure - referencing undocumented arrays all over the place. I have not seen a GDL reference manual for programming / modifying MEP parts ... anybody else?
