Thank you very much for the question!
Unfortunately, this is a limitation with the MEP systems settings. Currently, you can change the centerline to any symbol type only in the Visualization tab of the selected parts' settings.
There is an existing wish for it in our database (#11746). Hopefully, our Product Management team will consider implementing it in the future!
