There's an add on piece of software called 'Better Touch Tool'. It offers a lot of customizability for the trackpad and magic mouse. You might be able to use it to get the desired result.

Good idea. This would be handy for occasional use of the track pad. I've been using Better Touch Tool with good results and will have to try it.

This tip was posted here by one of the developers: while using a two finger gesture will Zoom the view, holding down the Option key while using a two finger gesture will Pan the view.

I often give my machine a two finger gesture
It doesn't like it much though

Here in the states it's the one finger salute. My computer couldn't care less, heartless brute that it is.

A greek school friend showed me a ten fingered version accompanied by a phrase that sounded like "na fas skata". I assume the five fingered one is short hand (so to speak).

I would say the 10 fingered is sort of "double" the standard!
The usual frase is just "Na!" or "Orse!" but others also may apply!
