Is there a MaxonForm for AC10 yet? (preferrably an edu version)

Hi....
The plugin works well for the intel Archicad but only towards the PPC version of Cinema4D...
There is no update for C4D plugin?

Thanks in advance

The universal Cinema4D is not supported by this version.

Do You Know when the new version will be ready?

There is no date set yet, but no sooner, than the MaxonForm update for the next ArchiCAD version.

[Edit: Found out a little more on MaxonForm Plugin v Add-On]

Sorry if this has been covered already but this affair is starting to really piss me off and i have just spend half an hour on the phone with our local reseller trying to clear things up as neither of us was really sure what was going on with MaxonForm. Our understanding as follows - please correct any incorrect information.

Maxonform refers to two things:

1. MaxonForm Plugin (approx. $AU 800) - Stand-alone application (i.e C4D 'Lite') for those who don't already own C4D.
2. MaxonForm Add-on (approx. $AU 180) - Addon for Archicad which will access to your existing full C4D application.

Archicad 10 is essentially a Universal Binary application - it was just released on different CD's (PPC and Intel) due to timing, not because the code could not be compiled as a UB (correct me here please, i have little idea about programming).

Cinema4D R9.5 and R10 are BOTH Universal Binaries.

There is a version of Maxonform available for AC10 Intel but it is based on the PPC version C4D R9.1 and so runs under Rosetta on Intel Macs.

The AC10 Add-On works to C4D r9.5 PPC versions only, not Intel. So if you had 9.5 installed on an Intel Mac using Pre-UB disks, the MaxonForm Add-On would work as R9.5 would be running as PPC under Rosetta. However if you upgraded to the UB version of 9.5 you would now be running an Intel native version and the Add-On would not work with this, only the PPC version.

Why are these not based on the UB version of C4D R9.5 given 9.5 has been UB since the Intel Macs came out (i.e at least Feb 2006 according to a newsletter from our local C4D reseller)

How damn hard can it be to get the Add-On sorted out for two applications which have BOTH been UBs for over 6 months now??? I *really* hope the Add-on is not being held up while you sort out issues with the MaxonForm Plug-in application...

Sorry if I'm getting a little irritated but we have people sitting here on Mac Pros running AC10 and C4D 10 and their workflow is stuffed due to GS not getting their resources sorted for something (Mactels and UBs) they knew was coming a long long time ago

Seriously i'm wondering why GS even bothers with the MaxonForm Plugin when people can buy a full license of C4D for a little over double the price of MaxonForm and just use the Add-On. We just paid $AU 4000 for 2 more C4D10's, Maxonform would have cost around $AU 1600-1700 and does not provide all the functionality of C4D. GS should ditch the Plug-in and concentrate on the Add-On a a free interface to full C4D. They obviously have difficulty maintaining the Plugin and charging people extra to link to another application which compensates for ArchiCAD's modeling shortcomings is not cool...

Sorry might just be a misunderstanding but to me that says:

'MaxonForm Addon & Plugin for AC10 Intel will not be available for Cinema4D 10 Intel before the next version of ArchiCAD'

What do you mean by version? The next patch or AC11...
cheers,

Especially since Cinema 4D has excellent rendering, modeling AND wonderful fly-thru camera controls.

The add-on only version supports Cinema4D 9.1, 9.2 and 9.5 (PPC version only).

And to clear up that "mess":

The MaxonForm package contains 3 parts:
1. MaxonForm application (simplified, customized C4D 9.1)
2. MaxonForm Plugin (takes care of the communication on MaxonForm's side, also works with the above mentioned C4D versions)
3. ArchiCAD add-on (takes care of the communication on ArchiCAD's side, compatible with all AC10 versions)

Users can by this full package (1+2+3) to start from scratch.

If someone already owns a compatible Cinema4D version, then he doesn't have to buy the MaxonForm application again (1), he can just buy the "Add-on only" package (2+3). This contains the MaxonForm plugin, which must be placed into C4D and the ArchiCAD add-on, which must be placed into ArchiCAD and the communication works.

If someone owns a non-compatible C4D version, then the connection will not work for him.

ITS TIME...

to rewrite the old AC code and give freshness with organic modeling ability.

Would be great to have an option "edit this wall (or any other object) with NURBS"

Or just to have a normal 3D tool for every object: 3D rotate, cutting objects in 3D, boolean tools with no workaround like seek&hide layers etc.

PLEASE!?

When will I be able to work with my cinema4d R10 and ac10 (mac intel) together??
When will the add-on be working with c4d r10??

And is the "add-on" the only thing we're waiting for or doesn't the "plugin" for maxon work on c4d r10 either??

Anyone? thanx
