Are you guys kidding or something?

Is true that someday we will get the upgrade?

I dont even think to start using AC10 without maxonform, becos I'm a cinema4d fan.

So I think I'm stuck with 9.

MAXON is not listed on Graphisoft's Product Overview.... only Artlantis for rendering. Maybe this hints at the lack of support for LightWorks and a C4d plug-in.

It is out for PC and PPC Mac:

We now need an IntelMac version. The AC add-in does not even install on my MacBook Pro.

I tried it at work on a PC with Cinema4D and it worked fine.

Enjoy,

It is very frustrating to try to contact the forums at both graphisoft and maxon and be stone walled every time one asks about maxonform for intel macs. Is there no time frame for this update? What makes it even more frustrating is the speed disadvantage one has to continually live with by being forced to use a PPC mac when both the base programs already exist for the intel machines and the only thing lacking is the AC plug-in. And the 3ds exp-import solution wastes even more time than just staying on a PPC mac.

Please tell us all when the new plug is coming!!!!

The lack of communication from Graphisoft regarding a timeline for the plug-in is particularly surprising and unprofessional considering all of the press releases that they and CEO Gallello made about the 'power' of MaxonForm.

I've never quite understood why GS does not appear to have either a marketing or a public relations department, even if that department is one person...

There clearly seems to be a marketing department (which often seems to have undo influence over programming decisions). What appears to be lacking is the public relations part.

Dear MaxonForm users,

the MaxonForm modeler we have is based on Cinema4D 9.1 - which was not a native Mac-Intel application.
Of course the next time we update the modeler we will run native on Mac-Intel computers.

In the meantime we are working on a solution to use our existing modeler running under Rosetta to communicate with the native Archicad 10 Mac-Intel version.
This development is under way and we will publish it as soon as it is completed as a free downloadable upgrade.
